submissions FOR ISSUE 02: TIME ARE OPEN!

close knit magazine is seeking submissions for our second issue “time.” we are accepting media of all types especially aiming to highlight textile / fiber art (embroidery, knitting, weaving, felting, etc.) we aim to highlight emerging artists based in NYC.

the theme “time” searches for art that considers temporality in some way. whether it be the passage of time, a process that deals with decay, slow labor, growth over time, physical change, life cycles, duration, fading, and so on. “time” can be process led or conceptually driven. this prompt is a loose framework, we’re open to infinite interpretations and are excited to see what you come up with!!!!

TO APPLY:
please email your submission to closeknitnyc@gmail.com with the subject “issue 02 submission.” please include 1-2 sentences about how your work relates to the theme, and where you are based. we also welcome any other details about the work! WE’RE SO EXCITED :)))

please note that we do not accept any art made by or with the help of generative AI.
